Our online reservation system is secure and
your credit card information will be encrypted before being sent
to the hotel.
However because the hotels reservation form page may be "frames
enabled" the secure icon may not automatically appear on
your browser window.
After you have filled out the "CHECK AVAILABILITY"
form for a hotel or apartment and have clicked on the "Confirm
this reservation" button to access the "Booking
Details" page, where you will be asked for credit card details,
the reservation process is secure.
If your browser is set up properly, when you first enter a
secure page, you will see a warning that you will be viewing
pages over a secure connection. If you do not get this type of
message, you may need to ensure that your browser is set up correctly
to notify you when entering secure pages.
Unfortunately because there are numerous browsers and browser
versions, we are unable to address each possible way to view
the security of our reservation pages. However, the following
is how to check security on the "Secure Reservations Page"
page if you are using Internet Explorer 5.0:
- Right click on "Booking Details"
page OR the little lock icon at the bottom of the page (if the pageis not embedded as a frame).
- Select Properties
- Click on "Certificates" button
- the secure icon will appear and an explanation of the Certificate
Properties will be displayed

At ibiza-hotels.com we have our own SECURE
SERVER (inter-sat.com) and have been using a Secure Certificate
from THAWTE , one of the largest Secure Certificate Providers
in the world, for over 5 years. |

NOTE:
You see a lot of HYPE out there, especially on Hotel reservation
sites, about how secure they are, and some of them even use Verisign
logos, when in fact, they do not even have a secure server. It is not nearly good enough to say, "...our software provider has a secure server certificate". So,
next time you visit one of these sites, keep in mind the instructions
above and check out their "secure-server".
You MAY get some surprises about WHO is really getting your credit
card data.
