This is an area of beautiful landscape, offering a wide range of services, sports and leisure activities. It's very safe for swimming and the ideal beach for beginning windsurfers.

ACCESS: Take the paved road towards the airport, before Sant Jordi de ses Salines, make a left onto the road directing you to the Canal, where the beach is located.
TRANSPORTATION: By car, bicycle (the road has a bike-lane) or by bus, with a stop only a few meters away from the beach.
DISTANCES: 11 km from Ibiza and 26 km from Sant Josep de sa Talaia.
DESCRIPTION: Long, open beach with a large variety of the conifer flora typical of the island.
LENGTH: 1,5 km.
WIDTH: From 25 m to 30 m.
TERRAIN: Natural, white, very fine sand. On its eastern part there are some secluded rocky areas and natural pools.
DEPTH: Sandy seabeds of very little depth. 25 m from the shoreline, it is 0.85 m deep, and at 50 m from the shoreline, it is 1.65 m deep. On its eastern part, rocks alternate with sandy seabeds.
ORIENTATION AND PREDOMINANT WINDS: Southern orientation produces winds from the sea inland, but always mild winds.
SCENERY: From the beach, there is beautiful view of the small islands of es Freus and the island of Formentera. It is very close to the salt mine ponds (Salinas); an area declared National Park, of renowned beauty for its scenery, with numerous wild and water birds. Take a walk around the many trails among pine trees and conifer flora typical of the island.
In National Parks, visitors must comply with preservation rules and follow instructions from the Parks guards.
